GingaB Android Expert Apr 25, 2011 #2 Is your phone branded or sim free?? Answer to your questions: 1) Yup you can still use the stock rom 2) Hboot 0.93 is rootable so you're ok to root Also check what PVT is your desire. If its PVT4 you should read SUroot's guide on rooting (below)

GingaB Android Expert Apr 25, 2011 #12 You're good to go mate. Good luck! PS. Once rooted. You'll notice a "superuser" app on your phones menu. That means you are rooted

SUroot Extreme Android User Apr 25, 2011 #18 An RUU is a Rom upgrade utility. It returns the phone completely to stock. Full wipe and reinstall of everything. You can either wait for a 2.3 RUU, use a 2.2 RUU and update to 2.3 or best option, flash HTC 2.3 custom Rom now. It's been leaked
