Does anyone have easy instructions for rooting a htc rezound? I'm not a software developer. I just want to root it so I can enable hot spot without paying $ to Verizon that I'm already paying for internet.

Thanks but this does not seem easy! Would be willing to pay someone to do this for me.

where are you located? if youre anywhere near dayton,oh,id be happy to help 
i know it seems a bit overwhelming when you look at all the dirctions in the first post. but its really not that bad,when you break it down into its smaller steps and get started.
basic steps:
1)unlock phone
2)temporarily launch a custom recovery
3)flash superuser root files in recovery.
its actually really simple in concept,and not nearly as tough as some methods that require alot of ADB commands,and even downgrading to old software
first download all needed files,and organize them somehow so you can find them easily.
read thru the directions a couple times and ask about anything you dont understand.
then just jump in! it may be a little les overwhelming to do it one part at a time.
i.e.,the the 3 major steps i listed above dont all need done at the same time. you could unlock today. launch recovery and root tomoro if you wanted. step 3 is small and fast,so doing it along with step 2 is no biggie
