Root RootManager Stuck!!

Yamachi

Lurker
Hello,

I recently rooted my phone and I downloaded Rootmanager. Well, I clicked the recovery thingy before downloading the ROM and clicked LGE Optimus M+. The bar went full and then it just stopped. For a few seconds, it froze, then the message of force closing came up. I've tried everything, restarting the phone, redownloading the manager, but it just won't complete. It keeps getting stuck after it's completed. I did get WIFI to connect. What do I do? I have a LG Optimus Elite 2.3.7

first of all you chose the wrong phone model there is no recovery for the elite yet drew is working on it

Does this mean that I can't install custom roms for my Elite? Also, I downloaded SetCPU and it keeps getting stuck as well. Any help?

Yes this means no custom roms or recoveries..for the moment. And the Optimus M+ while in some respects is the same as the elite,it is an older model that doesnt function the same way as the elite does. So the stuff for it just wont work with the elite at least recovery wise. M+ Roms may be workable with a little modification but no one can get to that point yet because of the recovery issue.

I've found out long before that after you root your device... do your homework! I come to boards like these to research before doing anything that takes advantage of or requires root access.

Not all devices are equal. Just because one app works fine on one device does not mean it will on another. Easy solution is to just ask one of the smart folks here via a new thread, and doing so will help others with similar questions.

PS I am not one of these smart folks :) I just fallow in their footsteps.

It just amazes me how people just don't read or do any research before trying to do something!!!!

I too am a follower, but have taken the time to follow all the threads and have all the procedures down before attempting anything.

Thanks to all the people who lead the way on these forums
