Root RSDlite 4.8 problem

OK here is my problem. i need to SBF my droid X. i have found RoOoLeR's guide to using Rsdlite to flash my phone with SBF 2.2. I download and install RSDlite 4.8, SBF 2.2 and the motorola drivers. (FILES HE PROVIDES)

This is where i have problems.

If i do not rename the SBF 2.2 file to dx.sbf the start button never un-greys itself in RSDlife. So i rename it, the start button becomes available but i never see any info in the file properties box. i click start and its an instant error.

im using windows 7. ive tried holding shift while opening RSDlite to open as administrator. this doesnt help me at all.

this is exactly what im doing. step by step.
- Unzip the 2.2 sbf to a working/temp folder
- Open RSD Lite, tap the

Move the SBF file to the root directory in drive c.

Then look for the post here somewhere that details the issue with RSDLite and the filename character issue.

finally! after a lot of help from everyone on android forums, i finally got RSDlite to work and have successfully installed SBF 2.2. all my problems are fixed and i I can now install the OTA update. thanks for all the help.
