Root RSDlite 4.8 + SBF .320 = 100% Stock?

I'm creating a new thread so I can stop jacking the other one I was asking newb questions in.

I am going to attempt to cleanup my friend's DX since it's acting all screwy. I downloaded RSDlite v4.8 and a Full SBF .320 from Droid X Full 2.2 SBF

Now, after I do that will verizon push me the .340 OTA update? All things considered am I officially back to stock or do I have some leaked version?

Nope! .320 is a leaked version so VZW will not push the .340 update to the phone. You need to download the .340 system only file. Place it on your SD card. Boot into clockwork recovery, by pressing power button and home button at the same time. Install the zip file and NOW you are back to stock.

I can't seem to find a way to bring his phone to COMPLETE stock as if it was in the hands of a grandma from the day it left the shelf...

The way I've done it is, I sbf with .320 first then I sbf with .340 system only then factory reset, in theory that should get ur complete stock, if this is not the right way to do it, I really don't know any other way

I'm still confused. Some people say that SBF will remove ClockworkMod. If I remove it when I put .320 on, how am I going to add .340?

I understand. Once you do a full factory reset it should be wiped away

Yeah , once u sbf and factory reset ur phone is gonna end up like from out of the box basically

Done through RSD Lite, no Clockwork Mod Recovery involved. You can Factory Data Reset through either stock Recovery, or through Menu, Settings, Privacy.

Ok, that makes sense. I'm on a work PC so I can't mess with RSDLite right night but that's for all the advice!

"X" is right. I am so used to root I always say clockwork. Stock recovery is the way to go.

so how do you put sbf in drive c drive and use rsd lite i think i lost something in my dx when i tried to root it so im trying to learn how to get back to out of the box,iv lost my pc box showing phone asking if you want to open to view files ,transfer pics ect,i havenent had this dx a week yet and i bricked it it still works phone text an enternet but i cant put my meida on it,i dont get the option to use mass storage or pc it like the phone is missing a driver
