i wanted to go back to the stock rom after using arearom for awhile this works great my only problem is that the market is the previous version and will not download anything it says download failed
do i have to install the updated market myself will that fix it or is this another problem
also it allows me to sign in fine i have no problems with talk or gmail only market

ok yes yes im a newbie. I just did odin for my precident worked fine. I synced my contacts before i did it so I could get them back afterwards and thats fine. But for some reason I can't get my google talk to sign in and i can't download updates or apps from google play. I've tried clearing cache and everything for google play and that doesn't work. I saw somewhere in another forum about resetting the proxy but theres nothing in "settings-wireless & networks-mobile network settings" to do that. Anyone have an answer I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

Do a factory reset after using Odin.

Is there a special way to backup my phone? Can I just copy the data that is in the folder for my phone when it is connected to my computer, and paste it in a folder on my computer???
