Root Rubix 1.9.7 is out

w00t! +1

D/l'ing now, as we speak. Will have first impressions after I install.

OC App is amazing! I've never booting into OC so consistently before. The program will determine your best running speed at lowest voltage. I'm at 1.236 ghz.

Very peppy Rom. Like it a lot. Newbie friendly. Easy to install.

Thumbs UP! :)

Is this based off GummyJar 2.5? It isn't specified, just says "based on GummyJar"... since 1.9.5 was based off of GummyJar 2.1.

It was stable and all, but after 30 minutes I was back on Liberty. I flashed previous builds of Rubix and really looked forward to this. I was severely unimpressed. Can I have my Liberty 1.5 now? KTHXbi!

Care to share what was severely unimpressive about Focused?
From my experience, I felt exactly the opposite about Liberty. Great rom but just not as smooth or stable as Focused 1.9.5. 1.9.7 is even better:eek:. I don't know what mods drod does but they sure do make this rom fly.

In Rubix defense, I never played with spare parts to speed anything up. I ran Rubix builds forever and loved the speed but always had minor stability issues. I dealt with them like most people who ran it too. Overall I guess I have just become accustomed to customization that Apex and Liberty offer.

I didn't run this long enough to experience any issues with reboots, installed from a nandroid of .340 stock. I really was looking for the new Rubix build to offer some of the same qualities.

Don't get me wrong I may go back and revisit this release, but for the time being I'm looking forward the new Liberty release. I'm not sure what Fab is up too, I held off on Apex forever, with preference going to Rubix, but the next thing I flash will be the new Liberty or if Apex if Fab has something in the works I don't know about.

EDIT: I also never check what RAM was available or anything I'm a couple IPA's deep at this point.

QuickClock is amazing. I had trouble with the fully released version, but the Dev was so quick to respond, he helped me adjust the settings. Now, I'm stable at 1406. BOOYAH! Kudos to the dev.

Steven, just bought and set up Quick Clock Advanced. Now I see your comment above. What do you mean?? Also do I need to uninstall all JRummy's overclock app? Will these two overclock apps conflict?

No need to uninstall JRummy's, and if you want your QCA settings to be transferred into JRummy's app... just use the export function in the Overclock menu of QCA. Then import them into Droid Overclock using the Advanced menu in that app.

Man o man, have i messed up my phone. I sure thought i did everything in the right order, but when I tried to install this, I got an error saying that the install or download was bad - can't remember. when I rebooted, I kept getting "Sorry!, Process system is not responding" with an option to chose force close or wait. I was able to get the maderstock340 to install. I reloaded everthing, was able to even re-root and install apex 1.3.1 to install. Problem is when I restored apps via mybackup pro, and rebooted, I am now getting the force close thingy again and i don't know how to get into recovery reboot? Anyone, please help as soon as you can?

Did you make a backup in recovery prior to installing roms that you can restore if you hose it? (Hint: next time you should.) :D

Sounds like everything works fine until you restore apps with MyBackup.... why? Your apps should restore on their own thru Market, without needing to reinstall. No doubt, your backup is installing stuff that makes it unstable.

I'd start over, get rooted, install recovery, let Market update, etc, then make a backup thru recovery. Then install your rom and don't install anything from MyBackupPro, except maybe data, like contacts, call log, etc, everything should be ok, except NO SYSTEM SYSTEM SETTINGS. That's asking for trouble with a custom rom.

FWIW, I use MyBackup Pro, but only for contacts, call logs, etc. For apps I prefer Titanium Pro.

Just downloaded this yesterday and installed it this morning. Only bug I've found so far is that the WiFi tether cuts in and out about every 20 minutes. Must be some setting I haven't played with yet.

Interesting note: after I backed up DarkSlide and wiped everything then installed rubiX, some script in this ROM automatically restored what I had before. I know all my downloaded apps and games weren't there, then I put it in my hoodie and when I took it out 20 minutes later, everything was back! Cool!

Boy, is this ROM fast! Much faster than DarkSlide or ApeX. Kudos to the devs!

Now how do I access the one-click Overclock app? Is there a rubiX folder? Haven't looked yet.

The market syncs your apps. I may have to give this ROM a try, hearing some good things.

I installed rubiX Focused 1.9.7 last Friday afternoon and ran it all weekend.
The built-in overclock ( QuickClock ) is nice, but since I have the paid version of that app, I removed it and installed the paid market app.

I've had zero-0-zilch-nada force closes. It's quite responsive at all clock speeds actually from 900 - 1300.

I tried several launchers and I settled on LauncherProPlus. Had some battery issues, but tracked that back to a clock widget which I've since removed.

Thanks, but I knew that. All the apps re-appeared without my activating the market app - that's why I was so amazed!

This is so fast! And the OC app automatically found my low voltage and max speed without any intervention from me!

woah, so glad I tried this rom. It is faster than apex AND liberty for me.

I occasionally get screen lags on apex and liberty with launcher pro, but none so far on this rom. I don't know what they are doing differently, but it is noticeably faster.

I will test out battery life for the next couple of days. If it is better than Apex, I think I have found my new fav.

Anyone have a link to a revolution theme for this rom?

So after using Liberty for a few days, I'm back to focused again! I'm pretty much a Drod/Rubix cheerleader, at this point :p.

after restoring my apks with mybackup pro, and then trying to get into bootstrap, i got stuck at the Moto logo. No way out except to SBF.

dunno what happened, but I am trying again.
