Help Running Apps

Hi there,
Phone was fully charged first thing this morning 7.30am and by 11.30am it had lost 5% battery power without me texting, browsing or calling. Looking at Running Apps in Applications I can see things that I know are running e.g. widgets, but there is one for Google Apps which I assume is the email and HTC Sync.

1. Is 5% about normal?

2. Can I stop HTC Sync? What does it do?

HTC sync is not a google app, its a HTC app. If you use Gmail, it could be that. But the whole phone is google so its hard to tell.

But 5% in 4 hours is about right.

Thanks Dan. I don't think I was clear in my first post. I have a list of apps which are my widgets. Then there is a Google App which I think is the Gmail app. Then there is a separate app running called HTC Sync. I assumed it was something to do with the HTC Sync we need to install on the PC to sync stuff and as I don't use it I wondered if I could delete it but I have just realised it is probably the software to allow the phone to sync with Google, Facebook, Weather etc. Is that right?

No idea. Not on a HTC Rom so I've never seen it. Screen shot?

Since you're on the same Rom as me I am confused. Could you have restored it from an old HTC Rom?

Freeze it in titanium and see what happens

Are you saying you don't see this in your Applications>Running Apps?

Stopped the HTC Sync and Gmail still refreshed, though I didn't have any emails to download to my phone from the inbox but the sync symbol appeared in the notification bar.

No its neither running or installed. Can only think you titanium restored it but can't be sure. Freeze it for 24 hours in titanium. If you're satisfied it doesn't affect anything, delete it.

Honestly can't see a reason.for it being there though
