Root RUU help

Okay, so I did the turn your phone into an HTC 3D and have S-OFF. I was wondering if flashing the RUU would allow me to keep S-OFF and be able to get the stock ROM back? I was hoping I wouldn't have to go through the whole process of relocking the bootloader.. etc.. I just wanted to know if I just run the RUU would it work?

Yes I think you will keep the s off but you could just flash a stock rom it wouldn't change anything its just like flashing any rom.

I tried flashing the stock ROM Jmz listed in the fourms, but after getting a boot loop I realized that when making my phone into an EVO 3D I downgraded the Hboot.. etc.. So I couldn't flash that ROM because it's a 3D not a V.. So wondering if I can just flash the RUU? Or do I need to just follow the guide and Relock the bootloader.. etc.. Also thank you for your help. I appreciate it.
