Root RUU will not flash issue

Ok guys I know you've probably seen this kinda thread a thousand times, and I'm seriously sorry for making you answer to something that has probably already been answered. But I ****ed up my phone just now hours before Im leaving for vacation so I need some serious help to get it to work..


Story:

My wifi from nowhere broke (the known "Error" message and nothing else, I updated to 2.2 MONTHS ago and it happened just the other day). So I googled it alot and I read one can possible solve it by flashing it so I tried with this:

RUU_Bravo_HTC_WWE_1.15.405.4_Radio_32.30.00.28U_4.05.00.11_release_122704

But after about 60% into the update/installation I get this:
ERROR [110]: FILE OPEN ERROR
The ROM Update Utility cannot open the requested files or the files are damaged.
The RUU cannot continue with the update.

And I now se a silver/gray htc logo with /!\ in the corners..?


Guys I know I'm a **** for touching stuff when I don't know what I'm doing, but I seriously screwed up and don't know what to do now, I need my phone on my vacation!


What do I do? I will be SO thankfull for any information.. even if it's a link to another thread that can solve my problem!


EDIT: For those who read this thread before this last edit it looked different, I changed alot in this edit!
 
guys/girls I finally made it.. flashed it with

RUU_Bravo_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.29.405.5_Radio_32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27_release_159811_signed

after trying several RUUs.. thanks to everyone who took the time to at least read the thread!

Glad you fixed it. FYI in case you have any issues in future: I believe the problem was that an RUU won't flash to an earlier release, and you were trying quite an old one. The one you succeeded with is the latest, so it worked.
 
Ive only just seen this too.

Like SiHa says, RUU's for the desire that start 1.x are android 2.1. 2.x are 2.2. I assume 2.3 roms will be 3.x

You cannot downgrade without a specific downgrade tool. You can only = or >
 
thanks for the answer guys! Tell me, what tools ie. can I use to downgrade to 2.1? I need to try it 'cus it seems to be my only way of maybe fixing the wifi before I hand it in to the store. Thanks!
