Root RUUs

[binary050]

Hi,

just about to take the big jump and root my desire! Think I've got everything I need for it, and in case anything goes wrong except for an RUU for my phone. Currently using software version 2.22.351.3, and was just wondering if anyone can advise me on which RUU to download, and where to get it from?

Thanks in advance,

binary

Theyre all on shipped Roms, those that exist. Exact link is in the root faq linked in my signature

Cheers, I must have missed that when reading through before, as it's your guide that I'll be using to root my phone!

Sorry to repost, but after checking through the RUUs listed on the site, none with the correct radio and unbranded/branded to Virgin mobile.

Does it matter if I download a generic Virgin mobile one with a different radio?

Thanks in advance,

Looking at shipped roms, there is only one Virgin RUU / PB99IMG.zip. This is for android 2.1 (the RUU starts with a 1. 2.2 starts with 2, like yours).

Basically, the only way to get it back fro stock for a warranty repair would be to flash an unbranded RUU (2.29.405.5 for example) then use Teppic74's downgrader to downgrade to Virgin 2.1. You WILL need to make a goldcard.

cheers I already made a gold card before I rooted, so that's not a problem!
