Root RZRecovery

I believe he is referring to the clockwork that revolutionary installs.

Yes,it can be overwritten. I added this recovery to the "radios, recoveries, and hboots" thread. You can download it from there and install it in hboot by renaming "PG05IMG" :)

I loaded it and used it just to see how it worked. I can't say I ran any extensive tests, but it was faster than TWRP and quite smooth. The only downside I saw was not being able to rename my recovery files to something that I wanted and that's more personal preference than anything else.

looks like the download is still 2.1.1. ill try and keep checking it,feel free give me a shout if you notice its ready :)

2.1.2 has been up for a while.

I just did a nandroid...with compression off this thing SMOKES TWRP and CWM. My last TWRP backup took 9 minutes. This just took less than 4. I overclocked to 1.4GHz. The back up is a bit larger, but F$#* 9 minute backups.

I have not flashed anything yet, but I will be trying it for my next ROM.

The only disadvantage I see right now is the fast that it is only flashable from another recovery, so it is not so great for emergencies, but you will easily get the time back to flash TWRP then re-flash this after maybe one or two backups.
