Help S Note defaults

hi folks.

I would like to know if there is a way to set defaults in the S Note app .Specifically when I open a new note how can I make it so I get a blank note coming up rather than the template offered by S Note now also annoyingly it always open with the handwriting setting on not the text setting.
Surely there is a way of doing this so I don't have to re set it every time!!

Open S Note, but don't have any notes open. Click the Options (3 horizontal lines in upper right corner), then choose Settings.

From there, change Note Creation Options from Show Template List to Select Template (and then choose the template).

Should be good to go!
