Root S-Off but no root?

I have S-Off and the Super User app, but ROM manager is telling me that I don't have Root access. o.O

Does anybody have the same thing happening to them? I mean, I'm looking all over the web, but I don't see anybody with the same problem, and XDA keeps telling me to just "make sure I'm pushing all the files to my phone" I'm making sure that!! *angry face*

I'm trying the ADB method. I have SIM unlock and S-Off, but no root. *sad face* Why!? Is there someway I can flash some hboot or something to get root access, or do you need to have root to do all that?

For those who are all having this problem, what you have to do is this xda-developers - View Single Post - [GUIDE] Permanent Root with Visionary/gfree (No ADB Required)

What you have to do is put your phone back to factory settings. I have the USA Tmo HTC G2 and everything worked fine. It did however get rid of my tethering, and wifi hotspot, and my phone says 3G instead of H. Also keep in mind that this will format your phone. I'm glad I always have things backed up. LoL!! I didn't even know.

And don't worry about the 3G and other stuff. Just update the phone again, or just download a ROM that has it. LoL!! Time for some ROM fun!! *smiley face*

Replying again. You still have your 4G or your H. The phone will just say 3G if it's connecting to 3G and H when it's connected to 4G. In other words, you know exactly if you're on 3G or 4G. Which I think is better anyways.
