Instructions and Downloads:

Coming Soon!
We will be releasing the Racuns to S-OFF your 1.15 & 1.19 HBOOTs soon! Please be patient while we make sure they all have their rabies shots and are ready to be socialized. This new tool will NOT require a downgrade procedure - it is a DIRECT S-OFF for HBOOTs 1.15 & 1.19! Keep an eye on this post for more details!

Support:

Support for our tools is via IRC channel #unlimited on freenode ONLY. If you do not have an IRC client you can use this link.

We DO NOT provide support, instructions, or downloads via XDA. Please see our website: Unlimited.IO

Using how-to guides, "kits" and using other instructions on XDA to S-OFF your device is not recommended and will not be supported by Team Unlimited. If you want the best experience and results - go direct to the source. Dealing with support issues through the forums is inefficient and posts may get lost in long support threads, of which we would have too many to actively monitor. We have therefore decided that all support should be through our IRC channel. This will allow us to help you in real-time and through the whole process.

it is not up yet. but, be sure that when it hits, i will post it here.

Out of curiosity, what's the downside of downgrading your hboot? Or is it just the process being risky and complicated?

The big downside for most is that you are intentionally bricking your device and then bringing it back from the dead by rebuilding it piece by piece (and inserting the old hboot).

I imagine most people would prefer not to have to go through that. Running an automated program should be much simpler

Nice!! I knew the gurus wouldn't give up on cracking the new hboots.

Now was racun a typo, maybe they meant rancor:

:D

Once all of the kinks are worked out of this, do you think I should upgrade my hboot? I'm currently s-off, but will hboot 1.15 or 1.19 with s-off be better in any way?

WOOOOHOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok so when i get a chance i will take a look at it. i know they say to only follow there instructions on their website, but i will at least break it down for you guys.

should we add this to the existing guide? or should we start another guide for this one?

I don't know if we should do a write up on it.

Please do not write up "How To's" or guides on how to use our tools. We would like the end user experience to be consistent and if we need to change some of the steps we want our users to get them all at the same time - from our website.**

***If this thread gets out of control or if anyone outside of Team Unlimited post instructions we will close this thread and delete the bad instructions***

If nothing else, we need to contact them and ask before hand. Possibly link them our other guides to show we're competent. I think I know what the answer will be though.

I'd like to hear others thoughts

They've done hard work on a tricky issue.

I vote that we respect their wishes and don't press it.

Maybe later when it's all confirmed as trouble free and Early proof (like idiot proof but with more laziness) we can ask then.

Good looking out, Rxpert83! :) :)

BTW, before it comes up, please share stories on this here, as experience is gained. :)

So I un-S-OFFed and followed this procedure. The first time it couldn't reboot my device. Starting over got it past that error. Then later in the process (2nd attempt) I got an error that my SD card is too big (I have a 64GB card), and the message said only a 2GB-16GB card will work. Fortunately I had a 2GB laying around, and on the 3rd try it got through the entire process. It did seem to take a bit longer to complete than LazyPanda, but it did work.

I proceeded to flash TWRP through fastboot, but for some reason, even after doing it twice, the device refused to boot all the way into recovery. The curtain screen would flash on for a second and the device would reboot. Only after using the bootloader method to flash recovery did it appear to work successfully.

Then I just restored the nandroid I made before I relocked and it's like nothing happened. Actually, I pulled a copy of the DirtyRacun 1.19.2222 HBOOT from my device and modified it to look like stock. I don't know if it's any different than the LazyPanda 1.12.2222 HBOOT, but I figured I should have the latest version ;).

There did appear to be quite a bit of uptightness and condescension going on in the XDA thread, so I was almost hesitant to try the process, especially with all of the specific requirements.

To be honest, I found Mac_Guyver's/yarrimapirate's downgrading method to be easier (though the terminal output isn't as amusing, I suppose). But that's just me, probably . . .

Downgrading is doable by the less experienced. I did it and I'm not too savvy. It did involve a bunch of me saying things like "what the heck?!" And "please turn on.......YES!" But I eventually got it. Make sure you sudo every command. That's the biggest part of why I had a rough time. A couple commands wouldn't find my phone properly until I used them as sudo. They weren't supposed to require superuser permissions, but they worked once I did.

I kinda want to update my hboot so I can try this DirtyRacun out.

I went through the new DirtyRacun method successfully, and got S-off. But I have to agree with you that it was not an easy intuitive process. The instructions are not for newbies and I had to go on the IRC chat with the programmers to have them walk me through it.

My phone is s-off(hboot 1.12) wifes is s-on(1.19) mine worked flawlessly 3 days after release with regaw and no issues with lazy panda, wifes phone caused me to get a crash course in adb and Linux both lol, luckily it didn't scare me as I well remember my old dos skills :D. Still, the downgrade does look and sound easier. Thanks guys. I'll hollar tomorrow when I get in trouble for playing with the wife's beloved phone :eek: lol

I completed mine, didn't think it was bad at all. Took a little, my biggest issue was on flashboot commands was in the wrong format. Once I figured that out the rest was easy. I didn't have to use the prefix they kept referencing.

Thanks to them for getting this to us so.happy I won't have to flash images manually
