Root S-OFF questions

So i'm wanting to do the S-OFF to follow the thread on how to make your phone an EVO 3D. On the website for this phones S-OFF it has some precautions.

1. Verify - You are on Stock RUU (not FreshROM, Stock Rooted, HarmonyROM - none of these will work!)
2. Be on the Stock RUU and be rooted (have superuser flashed). No other ROMs are supported, Fresh ROM will not work regardless of what you have read elsewhere.
3. Verify - You are rooted (rooted is not S-OFF these are two different things)

Well, I have a backup of my stock rom, unrooted. Then I have a rooted stock rom. This says contradictory things though, how can I have rooted stock WITHOUT rooted stock?

Its basically just saying be on stock rom, that you yourself have applied root patch to. Not to be on a pre-rooted stock rom.
Word around here though is that being on Harmonia works just fine.

OK thanks. I have also read from people that have done it, that afterward they had bootloops. Before I go and try this and get one, how would I fix it?

Usually a reflash of your ROM. I did it on Harmonia. No boot loops at all
