Root S-OFF, what's it worth?

Scotty, am I correct in assuming all I need to do is install a custom recovery? Apparently moonshine installs "Superuser" which I assume gives me root.
Then all I need to do is wipe caches, then install the ROM (zip)? No need to flash the boot.img anymore since it is part of the ROM in the zip.....????

correct. just install a recovery, and you can start installing roms, and seperate boot image flashing is no longer required.

just make sure you always back up a good working rom,and when installing a new rom:
-wipe data/factory reset
-wipe cache
-wipe dalvik cache

check the md5 sum of your downloaded roms whenever possible to ensure you got a complete download :)

OK latest TWRP installed. Now what ROM??? CM11 is the most clean install. Why does MaximusHD require so many steps? I'm wary of that.

OK, I might try MaximusHD10.
The questions I have are:
1 - Do I need to do the following? "fastboot flash recovery TWRP2.6.1.0.img"
I already have TWRP 2.6.3.0 installed.

2 - I guess I need to do the following????
1.fastboot oem rebootRUU
2.fastboot flash zip firmware.zip

The rest is just like any other ROM. Please chime in if you know. Thanks

Just as a follow up. I had to install cwm for recovery because twrp was giving errors upon install of cm11. Getting adb and fastboot is really easy on the Mac. Just md5 your downloads to verify and then copy and flash the rom as described.

Cm11 m4 seems to be running great.
