s pen leaving marks on screen protector

I have the spigen oleophobic screen protector on my note 2 and put the other on my hubby's as you get two in a pack. I have to say I thought they were a bit pricey but with such a great phone I wanted a good protector and by jove is worth it. It's like having nothing on the screen and yes I get pen marks but only in the grease I leave on the screen which you can't see any way, I just can't be bothered to clean it as you can't see it lol

Exactly the same thing with my oleophobic. No pen marks except from the grease from my fingers. Great screen protector!

Sounds like your S-Pen is writing thru the oil on your screen protector allowing you to see the trace pattern. Happened with my SGP Ultra Crystal too.

Jurst a friendly reminder a glass cover is not needed. You have a scratch fee sreeem save your money for other things for the phone if needed. a protector is waste of money. Why would they design gorilla glass 2 scratch free? ;)

I have been using my without a protector as I usually do with my other phones, and it's been great. I am not overly careful, just use a bit of common sense. None of my phones no matter what the screen is made of are scratched.

Not even little marks. A little care, and keeping them clean with a simple microfiber cloth is all it takes. I carry a small cloth in my laptop bag and that does it.

Gorilla glass is NOT scratch resistant. A screen protector is not a waste of money, it is piece of mind. If you have the tiniest bit of fine sand in your pocket your screen is done for and you will wish you had a screen protector that cost you $16 when you are shelling out $150+ ($700 if you didn't get insurance) for a replacement phone.

^ I agree. Considering you had the $$$ to shell out for a high-class phone, I'm sure you could easily afford a decent screen protector.

Nah, this thing doesn't get any grease on it. Think about the most AR person you know and then triple that. Yeah, that's me.

:D

Has anyone here actually used their N2 HEAVILY with the S pen, and if so are there any scratches caused by it at all upon close inspection?

I agree that most phones don't need a screen protector but I felt with the S pen one would be a good idea. Now after a few weeks, I can see that the S pen kills cheap screen protectors, and I am too bad at putting them on to pay a lot for one. I usually go through 3-4 of them to get a good installation.

I would like to ditch mine now, but don't want even small scratches.

Thanks.

Scratches on my screen protector because of it, yes...which makes me glad I decided to stick with using the screen protector vs. going direct glass.

I have heard many that they haven't experienced any scratches on their glass screens directly...but for me personally, I'd rather have a scratched up protector than scratched up glass. Scratched up glass is too expensive and too much of a hassle to replace...screen protector, not so much.

That's why I always run screen protectors and I always keep at least one spare. Screen protectors are much cheaper to replace.

Well I have insurance but sand? Do you mean dirt or sand from the beach? My pockets are clean. Never had a problem with gorilla glass on droid bionic or this phone yet. Not one scratch I just put it in pocket that has nothing in it but my phone. Screens are a waste imo plus they get dirty and show finger prints. I have owned screens in the past and see what I think it is a waste but to each there own ;). Gorilla glass 3 will be coming in the future. If i scratch my screen then it will be because i am mad and have thrown the phone lol.

I'd have a screen protector if every single product on the market wasn't total crap. They are all awful. The only one that interests me is the thin glass one, but it is expensive. All plastic ones are junk.

Yeah.. it would seem kind of expected with a screen film. Never used one on any phone, just keep the phone away from keys in pocket etc, no scratches.

The stylus seems to work well with such a light touch (still experimenting).. heck, I think it's a great design, the whole thing. :)
