Help S - Pen Problems

My mom has recently given me her note 3. She hasn't spilt water or damaged it in any way. But on 2 specific parts of my screen the S - Pen does not get recognized [ see the photo. Ignore the top it fills up there just the two circles ] . It hasn't got anything to do with the pen or the screen protector no bubbles or anything. Please help ASAP thank you!

Do you have your Note 3 in a case that has magnets in it? I had one that had a magnet that kept it closed and when I went to use the Spen it would not work where the magnet was. Once removed from the case the Spen worked just fine.

Thankyou so much that helped and now my s-pen is working i just put a a different case on it!
