Help S Pen

The pen is overly sensitive and in the S Memo pad, starts writing before the pen point hits the surface of the phone. This is quite annoying and makes the pen absolutely useless.

I don't find any settings whatsoever that would reduce the sensitivity. For example, it would be nice if I could do a calibration test (as is done on the big boy pen tablets) which hopefully would reduce the sensitivity and allow the pen to only start writing when the point is on the surface.

OS: ICS

There's a setting deep in there somewhere that sets the proximity sensor aspect of the pen. I can't remember where, but it's there. Something about "hovering" Keep looking, you'll find it.

Thanks. I could not find any such setting for the S-PEN. The only 'hovering' setting is to turn on the pen icon when the pen is hovering.

I believe it is the pen that is at fault. I have a similar pen that I use with my Toshiba M700 Tablet PC and it works fine on the Note - i.e., writing does not start on the GN until the point hits the surface of the phone. Looks like I will need to contact Sammy.

I think you are having the same issue I did here: http://androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy-note-lte/509668-strange-s-pen-problem.html

There is even a video of the issue. I got my s-pen replaced and the issue has not returned. But it was a very long, pull-your-hair-out process to get it replaced

Try the aluminum tape fix (also in that thread); if it works, then your s-pen is bad and needs to be replaced.

Thanks. I did call Samsung today and they agreed to replace the pen. I just need to send the old in to them.
