Help S-Planner Help!

Lurker
Morning everyone, I am having a problem with S-Planner on the Note 3 which I hope you guys can help me out.

I switched from Iphone 4S to Note 3 recently. I ran the Samsung programme to port my contacts, calendars and SMSes from the Note 3 to 4S successfully.

I have also successfully sycned my contacts and calendars with Google.

I am encountering 3 problems with S-Planner:

Calendars Account include (Ticked):
Samsung:- My Calendars, My Tasks, Contacts' Birthday and
Google:- Contact's Birthday and Events, Singapore Holiday and Google Email (Contacts)

Contacts to Display in Contacts:
My Contacts are Merged with Samsung (S), Whatsapp (phone sign) and Google (g). There is no contacts in Device.

S-Planner currently shows birthdays as:
Samsung Contacts' Birthday: 2 Blue entries in
Google Contacts' Birthday: 1 red entry

Problem 1:-
Not sure why the Samsung Contacts' Birthday is showing 2 entries?

Problem 2:-
When you select a contact's birthday (Blue) in S-Planner, it brings up the Detail View. From this view, if I click on the portray at the top right hand corner, it says the "Contact does not exist". It DOES exist in my contacts. Dont know why??

Problem 3:-
When you select another contact's birthday (Blue) in S-Planner, it brings up the Detail View. From this view, if I click on the portray at the top right hand corner, it shows the information of a different contact. Dont know why again??

Likely solution which I think there is a way but dunno how:-
The Device in Contacts does not have my contacts from Samsung (S) and Google (G). Could this be the problem? If so, how do I port my contacts from Samsung (S) or Google (G) to Device?

Please help... :(

Hi and welcome to Android Forums!

I guess we just all use Google Calendar, I don't personally use S-Planner so I can't speak to the issue. You're in the right place, though: eventually someone will read your post who can answer your questions. Good luck.

It’s great to have you here :)

I was going to go through each of the problems you mentioned one by one, but the "easiest" solution, to me, sounds like you should just toggle your Contacts Birthdays through the Google Calendar. If you have sync'd your contacts' birthdays to the Google Calendar, then you shouldn't need to see any of the others. That said, if you only have their birthdays sync'd in your Google Contacts area, then you should only toggle Birthdays for your Contacts and leave the others un-checked.

If you follow that, I'd imagine it would correct the other issues you mentioned. It would be much easier to determine what you're asking, if you took screenshots of the pages you are referring to. Might be a good time to learn some of the great uses of the S-pen.

Hi The_Chief and dRex,

Thanks for the replies.

I have yesterday did the drastic move, i.e. to restore my Note 3 to its stock settings and rebuild from scratch, instead of using the Samsung transfer software.

After a good 2.5 hrs, everything is good now.

I suspect the Samsung transfer software failed to correctly decrypt the iPhone materials which then caused it to incorrectly encrypt it for Andriod use. The mismatched caused quite a fair bit of unique issues on my Note 3.

Once again, thanks guys!
