S Voice v Google Now

Have been reading these threads discussing the google now app in JB, and that people are saying it is not S Voice.

What I am confused about, after watching some of the videos of the Google Now, is what is the difference between S Voice and Google Now. What I mean is, when would you use S Voice and when Google Now

I thought they were pretty much similar, apart from Google Now gives you more info with the cards. I mean, I thought google now could also be used to create calendar appointments etc, just trying to get an understanding on how and when each could be used

They do a lot of similar things, S-Voice was created by Samsung as an add-on to the GS3, where Google Now is native to Jelly Bean. The comparisons of the two strongly favor Google Now as the better of the two alternatives, for ease of use, speed of response, and accuracy.
