Help S2 Music Problem...sd related?

BITmix

Lurker
Heyl, New S2, first time android user from iPhone. brand new microSD card brought as well.

Anyway Problem number

1: When i transfer music from my computer firectly to the SD card (32GB) it works fine TILL i get to about the 6th artists, my computer will transfer my whole collection but when i unplug the phone (following the standard approach by disconnecting from windows then removing the cable from the phone) Doubletwist nor the stock music player doesn't recognize more then 6 artists.

When i plug the phone back in all of the artist folders after the 6th artists are no longer there as if they weren't put there by my computer.

2: Thus i decided to use Samsung KIES...dear god that software is flawed. Now Samsung KIES has no problem with putting more than 6 artists onto my ext memory. However during the transfer process it removes the artist tag for my music. Now when i try to reapply it using the phone...doubletwist/tunewiki will spac out, play other songs over different labels and such.

Ive formatted my card as FAT32 TWICE, no solutions found so far. Might try removing my sd card from the phone and transferring the music over to the sd card by putting it in my camera or something.

Can any1 else think of any solutions.

Did you by any chance buy this SD card on eBay?

If so, have a look here SOSFakeFlash. I'm sorry to say that if you bought a cheap flash drive on eBay, you have almost certainly been scammed.

I won't comment on the fake card issue.

I have given up using KIES to put music on my phone - to call it "flawed" is grossly polite!

I just drag and drop the music files onto my phone memory card. I did try dragging lots across simultaneously ie more than one drag/drop set...and I got problems. But with my music arranged neatly (ie the file hierarchy MY MUSIC>ARTIST>ALBUM) I can easily drag either all by the artist or just the album, in a single folder. Seems to work quite fast and without errors. Not sure if that is any help at all.

Of course, if you've got a dud card...

[FYI I have also completely dumped iTunes in favour of DBPowerAmp on the PC and am using PowerAmp as my player on the phone. Both are great.]

i used itunes agent, which is free. and u can use pretty much any music player after it syncs ur itunes library. i use google music :)
