Help s2 Phone lost, sim barred...

Hi all,

I lost my phone and I have got the carrier to block the sim. Trouble is that I had work data on there amongst other things. With the SIM blocked, not sure if the data connection will be active.

What data on the phone is associated to the SIM? IE contacts, etc? I will try a remote wipe via any apps from Google Play, but was wondering what happens if that fails?

Phone is Galaxy S2.

Do you have a Samsung account? Go to their site and you should be able to remote wipe from there in the apps section if I remember correctly. Only problem you might have is the lack of data connection now your Sim is blocked

thats an option. but does it actually work all the time? i myself tried it out once and dint work out at all. just showed 'locating' for a very long time and thats it. nothing beyond that.
also, it works only if the mobile network has been turned on previously??
