Help S3 battery problem or firmware problem?

I think the problem can be solved if you changed the battery i had almost the same problem

i changed the battery already i bought a replacement one from samsung. Seems to be doing the same thing.

I use my blackberry charger successfully ti charge my s3. You may also want to shine a torch in the port, look for dust buildup in the corners and clean out with a needle

I think(?) The BB charger is only 800mA. My wifes is anyway

i use my blackberry charger as well it takes around 8 hours for a full charge and i cleaned it but no luck

I have finally got my phone to stay at 100% after charge for about 2 minutes but the problem is that it drops to 50% right after that minute or two

Then your problem is with the battery

You say you have 2 batteries. Are these batteries original Samsung and not from E-Bay. Also will it charge while the phone is on. Try with the phone on and then try the Calibration app.

Yes the battery is from ebay but it has the samsing label on it so idk if it is fully authentic or not but i did try the calibration app and it said "battery calibrated" "discharge and recharge fully" and i did and atill stuck with the sudden drop in battery levels
