S3 notification bar

My Verizon s3 did an update the other day now i can barely see my notification bar. It just blends in with the wallpaper (tried changing wall paper). Any way to fix it, get it back to the way it was???

Did it update to kitkat? The new bar is more transparent.

try nova launcher has option to darken the notification bar

Nova launcher is a home screen replacement app you can download from the Playstore. It allows for much greater customization than the stock homescreen. You can add a shadow under the notification bar so that you can read it easier, install different icon packs, etc.
