S3 sent back AGAIN for repair, are you having probs ?

Getting p**d off now ! My 10 month old s3 had been playing up for a few weeks so I sent it back to o2 last week for repair while it still had warranty.

It was regularly freezing, requiring a force-start, several times a day. It would turn itself off, apps were crashing or refusing to open, music was skipping onto the next song, everything running painfully slow.

So I received it back through the post on Wednesday this week, just 5 days after I sent it for repair. By Wednesday night I realised it was doing exactly the same thing so took it back into the shop the next day, they have once again sent it for repair.

I've checked out the repair progress online, it says "being reviewed and repaired" and also "awaiting bounce analysis" whatever the hell that means !

The thing is, I have another 12 months left on my contract, if this phone runs out of warranty and it's knackered, I can't afford to buy another one.

So, have any of you guys had these problems ? The people at the shop said they had never heard of anything like this, and that if it works ok in the repair shop it will just keep getting sent back to me. I'm really hoping there is a fix for this !

in Europe we have 2year warranty so dont worry about that mate.
Did samsung tell you what they thought the problem was the 1st time they "fixed" it?
Have you ever tried a factory reset?

It might be related to the SDS issue and the fix 1, which causes a lot of freezes. Anyway, my S3 is holding since June 2012, not a single problem with it, never went back for repairs.

It went back to o2,not Samsung, no explanation what they did to it. I did try factory reset, but it didn't help. Are you sure about the 2 year warranty? I thought it was just 1 year.

Yeah 2year for electronic goods. Its the LAW lol :)
Have you contacted Samsung about it mate?
Theres a chance it could be SDS but the symptoms dont really sound like it tbh

I haven't contacted samsung yet, I thought it would be easier to get o2 to sort it. I should have it back by Saturday so I'll see what it's like then contact samsung if it's a still not right. It's always the same with intermittent faults, when a techie is looking it over the bl**dy thing works lol

Lol yeah know what you mean mate. I remember someone on here trying to brick (kill) his phone to get a replacement because it was suffering from the SDS thing making it freeze every so often :)

Just checked the repair tracker online, it now says "no fault found, contact customer with options" so I'm no further forward, I'll email samsung when I get it back and see what they can do :(

AT$T replaced my S2 5 times before they finally replaced it with an S3.
Every time it powered it's self off I would call and complain.
It took several months but I'm happy with my S3 so it was worth the hassle.

Well I waited all day for them to call me, then I got fed-up and called them. I was on hold for 22 minutes before I spoke to someone, she said they couldn't find anything wrong with it and could I please explain what the fault was !!!!!

So it will be next week before I get it back. Then I'll have to get in touch with samsung and see if they can help. I am soooooo p*ssed off.

I had the exact same symptoms, i sent it to vodaphone and they replaced the mother board, no problems since then.

Hope you get it sorted out.

it would restart its self out of no where sometimes and i wasnt even doing anything that would put heavy cpu. just normal web browsing and texting.
