S3 touch screen and other issues

My s3, which is a month old, has a lot of issues. I have att and and get my phone replaced cheaply.
Anyways, my phone has a hairline crack under the screen that branches out. The touch screen doesnt work and the colors are very fuzzy and dim. All the buttons and sounds work and everything but the screen is messed up. At first the display looked fine except for the crack and not working part but each day more pixels are stopping to work. Does anyone know what i need to replace? Thanks

Sorry for my english, not first language

I think it would be easiest to buy the whole display unit (outer glass, digitizer, display) as one piece. The only part that doesnt seem to be damaged is the outer glass and thats very cheap anyway

Based on your descriptions, I am guessing that the S3 screen has problems. Have you dropped the phone recently or has the components had contact with water?

No im 100% sure i didnt drop it, i may have ran into a table and cracked the display. And its never been near water:)

Any idea as to what that could cost?

Think ive read people say $200
Id ask Samsung how much they charge to fix it so you dont lose your warranty by fixing it yourself. If its too expensive, try ebay

Oh i thought it would be $300, still expensive. Do you think id have to replace the whole lcd and everything or if i could just fix the screen?

Everything i think. Then its a simple whole unit youre replacing instead of having to mess around melting the glue to remove the glass. Look for videos on youtube. Remember it isnt LCD btw. on the s3 its an LED display (AMOLED)

Oh ok thank you!

No problem. Maybe get a second opinion before buying the part but it does sound like the LED panel and Digitizer are damaged. Good luck
