S3 vs Note?

Hello,

I am getting a new phone today, after reading countless reviews I think i am going to get S3. However I am also looking at the Galaxy Note.

It seems to be that both of the AT&T version has dual core processor of the same speed and now after Note getting Ice Cream Sandwich update today there is virtually no difference between the two phone except for screen and battery?

Which one should i get?

There are differences. A great many of them.

Here are the ones I have of the top of my head:

S3:
Newer TouchWiz
SVoice
Contact/Calling features (such as looking up a contact and while it is on the screen, holding the phone to your ear to place a call)
More UI Sound/Feature options

Honestly, I guess not a great many that I can think of off the top of my head.

I have the Note (now with Official ICS) and my wife has the S3. For the things SHE loves about her phones, the S3 is great. Me, I love my Note and have no desire to switch. For MY usage, the Note is perfect.

It really, REALLY, just boils down to what you want and what features are important to you.

Agreed to what Talderon said. I have the NOTE with the current ICS on it and my daughter has the S3...she loves hers and I love mine.

I got mine about 3 weeks ago and she got hers just the other day, good luck on which ever you choose!

I'm in the same boat as the op. I've never had such a hard decision picking out a phone.

I don't care about the S3 bells and whistles such as screen stays on while you're looking at the phone, Siri like Voice, Contact Calling.... I just don't think I'll ever use them.

The one thing I do like more about the S3 is the camera. Supposed to take clearer pics and no lag.... correct?

The other thing is the S3 is faster.... correct?

I DO want the Note cause of the bigger screen but I think I would rather have a faster phone. Is there THAT much of a difference between the two?

I also noticed a lag swiping from home page to page on the Note. Did ICS improve this???

Talking about ATT versions on both phones.

Thanks

Trying to decide whether to get Samsung note or Samsung gs3. Gs3 cheaper but note.has bigger screen. Anyone have any thoughts to help me.make up my mind

im holding out for the S3 when my contract ends later this year, the note does look too big to be a phone, but i have heard mixed opinions of it. some like it, some want to get a smaller smart phone after a few months of having the note.

Gs3 off course. Not is nice, just sold mine and bought a galaxy nexus. I bought an iPad so having the note was redundant. If you really have to have that large screen, then get it. If not the gs3 its a superior phone in every way.

The Note is a nice phone with a great display and, now that it has ICS, it's even better. If size is an issue or you already have a tablet you don't need the Note. Otherwise, it's really great.

Thanks everyone I think I'll go with the gs3 I do have a tablet and currently have a captivate running ICS so I'm use to the screen size though I read here a note2 is coming out if that's a gs3 version then I can fix both issues. Will wait but most likely get the gs3
