Sorry to hear you're having problems. Maybe if you can provide us with more specifics we could be of more help. What steps led to your menu and back button not functioning? Did you root the device and/or flash another rom?

Yeah, we need more info.
Do you realize that the backlight for these buttons turns off by default after 1.5 seconds? This is adjustable through settings if you need to tweak it to your liking.
