s4 camera on s3?

can we get the s4 camera app on the s3?, the missis just got an s4 and im liking the the option the s4 camera came with like animation photo sound photo etc, altho it lacks in turning shutter sound off and i dont recall seeing the other basic s3 features like cartoonify and other effects (but maybe i missed them)
 
i think you can but afaik it involves flashing the zip file mate and im not sure if it replaces the s3 cam or adds another. do you have custom recovery?
 
Nice one man. Im guessing it will only work on TW roms?
I use the Nexus 4 camera on my s3. The only thing that works on it is Photosphere (which i love) but it leaves my stock camera intact. Let me know how that one goes :thumbup:
Remember n make a nandroid first ;)

I'm running a TW ROM on Sprint and when I installed it, it did not replace the other camera.
So, I now have 2 cameras and 2 galleries.

Just make sure to make a Nand back-up before ya try it. If ya don't like it, just restore the backup.
 
i did the install of the camera app via clockwork mod but all that happened was it removed my stock camera and left me with the photosphere camera not installing the s4 camera?

im hoping the nand backup will restore the s3 camera..
 
Yeah nandroid will restore everything as was mate.
Want the zip file for the Nexus 4 camera? only photosphere works on it but it leaves your stock camera intact :thumbup:
 
The Nexus 4 camera I have works for photosphere and also takes normal pics without crashing.

This must be the exact zip file I downloaded because it has the same md5 checksum as the one on my PC :

I actually made a nandroid today so ill flash it probably tomorrow if i get a chance and report back :thumbup::beer:

**nobody who is new to android flash the zip untill guinae pig boy tests it** lol :-)

Let me know! Snap camera is also slick, a lot like sgs4 cam

Yeah, let us know Funky, as I love the photosphere camera and would love to be able to use it for all pictures without crashing my phone :)
 
Nah it doesnt work :( doesnt even load. it crashes straight away and crashes play services. I cant find it now to uninstall it :confused: its not in /system/app
Ill try titanium :thumbup:
 
Yeah im probably gona. The battery life on this 4.3 build is terrible. Its still in alpha though :beer:

4camnex2 and camera42_patched_v2 are the file names before unzipped/install tar files, oddly it doesnt show up in my applications list so i cant say which version it is but it does work there is saink called bestface could it be that?
trying to upload them but not sure if it will work on here maybe thell be 2 big? (8-9mb each)
