S4 - Lollipop - Issues

First of all I don't understand why or how they release an update without testing it on their own devices first. Lollipop is already nothing but issues. If I lock my phone, I usually hit the home button or the power button to unlock it but when I hit either nothing happens. It then locks up and reboots. Super super annoying. When the phone wants to unlock properly it's nothing but lag. I've already tried going into recovery and clearing the cache which did not help.

I just backed up my phone with Kies, and I'm doing a factory reset. However, again, we should not have to do all of this. They should be testing the update before release no matter how you slice the pie. My phone is now reset and I'm restoring my backup. It's just a little silly that they release something that has issues. There are thousands of people having these same issues and that's unacceptable. I KNEW when I saw I had an OTA update available not to do it. I even said to myself these updates are always broken, and sure enough....broken.

I'll let you guys know if a factory reset helped.

Well, ever since updating, apps are getting stuck while downloading from the store as well as when updating apps.

Well, I forced close on Play Services, and Play Store, and cleared the cache for both, and now it's working correctly. I also went into the recovery menu and cleared the cache and rebooted.

I cant stand the lockscreen not showing the little text icon or email icons anymore. Now I have to unlock to see them which is dumb.
