Help S4 on T-Mobile network issue running 4.4.2

Who else has a S4 running 4.4.2 and has a problem where the network randomly stops but says its connected when you look at the notification bar?

And the only solution is to restart the phone or do a battery pull.

Reason I'm asking is because I'm on my 5th exchange phone due to this issue. And it has taken 3 months for T-Mobile to admit 4.4.2 has problems with networking.

Check your state laws. They may have to give you a new phone or opt out of the S4 or T-Mobile itself (with no penalty) after a certain number of tries to fix the problem.

Otherwise, keep bringing it back and having it replaced. If there's another phone you'd rather have, mention that - that if they'd rather stop having to replace phones for you and give you a phone equal to or better than the S4 - that doesn't have that problem - you'd be okay with it, because you don't like having to keep coming back all the time any better than they like having you come back all the time. (The TM district manager may go along with that - some of them are actually minimally intelligent.)

If enough people keep bringing bad phones back, it's going to impact the carriers; bottom lines enough that they'll do something about it. (Customer satisfaction is no longer an issue - "we cover 98% of the population", "$15/monh per added line" and "unlimited" seem to be enough to bring in customers, and the threat of the ETF seems enough to keep them.)
