S4 Smart Screen settings question

My Galaxy S4 is supposed to scroll when I tilt my head.... at least I think so. I'm sure it did at least once, but now it won't do it.

I checked the Settings > My Device > Smart scroll and it is "On", as are the Smart pause and Smart stay. The Smart rotation is off. When I drill further, the Smart scroll settings are Tilting head (on), Tilting device (off), Speed is about halfway, and Visual Feedback display is checked.

Am I missing something? Or does it only work on certain things? I've tried it on browsers and settings, but no luck.

As far as I know, it only works on the stock browser. You also have to keep the phone still enough so that it can lock onto your eyes/face.

In other words, it's one of the very underwhelming components of the software Samsung advertises for the S4. Great hardware, great OS, but the skin is underwhelming.

If it only works in the stock browser, it might as well not exist as far as I'm concerned.

One of the main reasons I wanted to upgrade to Jelly Bean is because Chrome doesn't work with Gingerbread.

But hey, Samsung can advertise all this crap that doesn't really work well. Like split screen where only a few apps work split screen and there's no reason you'd want to use any two of them together. Underwhelming.

Thanks for the answer. I wholly agree it's not even a little useful, though, as I use Boat browser or Dolphin. I'm finding very few "cool" working features as advertised and beginning to wonder why I bothered to upgrade (and pay
 
Only works on stock browser. I use Chrome and took me a while to figure out why it wouldnt work.

On the plus side, since realising this i have switched off all the "smart" tech and now the phone is 99.9% lag free.
