S7 rejects incoming calls by tapping reject button

I've got an elderly Galaxy S7 running Android 8. When an incoming call arrives and the native phone app pops up the incoming call screen, the red reject call button only needs tapping to reject the call; it doesn't require swiping. This means that it's very easy to reject calls accidentally. I can't find a setting to change the button behaviour back to swipe. Does anyone know how I can stop this irritating behaviour?

check your accessibility settings. there should be a toggle for tapping for incoming calls and text.....just make sure that it is turned off.

Brilliant! There's an accessibility setting in S7's Android 8 called single tap mode. It was turned on; it ain't now, and that cured the problem. Many thanks for your swift and very helpful reply.
