Help SA-I9100 vs GT-I9100

Hi guys:

im in the process of buying a new SGS2 but i have come to the doubt of buying a Black or White, and the doubt appears on the Model Number, the Noble Black says it is a GT-i9100 and this white one @ amazon says SA-i9100

i like the white but i want to be able to root and to use custom roms as i did with the GT-i9100(black) that i had and that i selled to a friend that wanted it so badly that payed me $200 over the price i payed for it.


Any help provided will be apretiated.

It looks like they are the same but im still wondering if anyone here has actualy rooted and installed a custom ROM to SA-i9100

The only different that I am aware of between the two is MediaNet compatibility. What I mean by this is for US AT&T customers, you can use the $10/mo unlimited data feature on the black one. However, the IMEI series on the white model shows up to AT&T as a Blackberry, meaning that you have to use their smartphone data plans. So, if you're on US AT&T, that's an issue. If you're not, then it shouldn't be a real issue.

I dont live in the US, i live in central america, i had the regular GT-i9100 and tried it with 3 different carriers, all of them worked Fine, i dont think i will have a problem with the white one, what im worried about is that i haven found any information about a model SA-i9100, i think that model number doesnt exist and that it just a typo in the amazon product description, i have contacted the seller to double check that, in the mean while i have no smartphone to use

How about T-Mobile? I'm a T-Mobile user and are thinking of selling my new Blaze 4G on amazon and then pay $100 extra to get the SII. Would both the SA-I9100 and the GT-I9100 compatible with T-Mobile's high speed network? Thanks
