Help Safe to leave on the dock all night?

Is it safe to leave my phone plugged in to the dock all night? While I'm at it, is it cool to leave the aux cable from my speakers in too?

Yes. When the phone is fully charged, it gets cut off and there's no chance of a "over-charge" or such that would be harmful to the phone.

And the AUX cable is the same as leaving your phone or iPod all night with the headphones in, it has no effect on the phone or battery. Just ports the sounds to wherever its plugged into.

Yes, perfectly safe. I've always docked my phones on the charger overnight. These chargers provide a trickle charge and will not overcharge.

Is it charging that you're worried about or the screen being on all night and having a possible "burn in" situation? I think either way you'll be fine overnight.

I always put my phone on standby while it is on the dock overnight while I love the size of the screen it is almost as bad as having a lamp shining in my face all night.

You can turn the screen off or dim it.

Yep - I do that but in the daytime its a wash out on dim at my desk. At night I turn it off but I don't use it for my bedside clock either.

Actually I got tired of removing the cover to use the dock so the dock is a paperweight  and I just plug in the charger direct. Really wanted to use the hdmi port on the dock to my PC but turns out my stinking monitor is not hdmi.

Oh well - life in the big city -

Let me clarify my question. Is there a setting that will disable the screen display being lit during the charging at night, with a wall charger?
