Safe way to download youtube vids?

Is there any safe way to download youtube vids? I see add ons for firefox but don't trust them.

You can try YTD Downloader for Windows. Be mindful of copyright laws.

I'm not sure what you mean by safe, but Google "YouTube Downloader" and get it from XDA. Works great. Support the dev with a few bucks if you like it.

Some have Yantex viruses and stuff.
