Root Safe way to Go.....thanks

I'm running Apex v1.0, 2.3.15. What's the best way to get current? I love the way my phone is running. It will allow me to over the air update. What would happen if I did over the air? Thanks for any help.

Nandroid to stock 2.3.15, take OTA then install new Apex version.

If you don't have a backup that you can restore of the ota, then you can install this OTA from the internet here (scroll down to the 2.3.15 ota): 928Droid Themes for the Droid X

You can do a factory data reset after you flash that rom in order to get back to pure ota, Then go to settings>about phone>system updates. You'll get the 2.2.1 (2.3.420)

:) Let me know if you need more help.

it won't be able to install because ApeX deletes system "bloatware" and the update will look for it.
