Same freaking problem!

That is strange about not even picking up your Wi-Fi signal very well. My Sprint HTC Hero can be at the opposite end of the house from where the Wi-Fi router is and still pick it up with a fairly strong signal.

Actually, I tested it the day I purchased it and I was able to go all the way into my neighbor's backyard before it finally dropped the connection. Are you sure your handset has not been swapped for an Apple iPhone 4?

Well... Today I get my 4th Sprint HTC Hero... So we'll see if the data connection
is any better on this one.

After reading an earlier post/thread "Losing data connection with 2.1 update"
I don't see too much hope for a better connection.

They'll give you an airave at no cost. Especially if its the signal in your home. Thats how I got mine because the fireplace interferes with the signal in the home.

how do you get them to provide the airave? i haven't been able to get one yet and my service at home sucks.
