Root Same phone AS695

The same phone as this one is the LG Optimus Plus

Not LG Optimus M Plus....

The model # is AS695
It is the same phone. The carrier is Alltel.


It looks to me that these phones could potentially run an Optimus Elite rom

Model # of Elite (Sprint)/ Elite (Virgin Mobile):
VM696/LS696

Model # of the Optimus M Plus (MetroPCS)/ Optimus Plus (Alltel)
MS695/AS695

The Optimus Plus and Elite run the same processor speeds and ram speeds, internal memory sizes are different though... 4GB vs. 1GB respectively.

No the AS695 is the LG Optimus Plus
....the MS695 is the LG Optimus M Plus.....

The Elite is the LS/VM696 model numbers....

Edit: ACG=Alltel is the Carrier of the LG Optimus Plus (AS695)

Yea, except metropcs and Alltel.....exact same phone. The Alltel is not as popular.....I'm sure no one here knew the Alltel version even existed...

The Elites are like the Optimus S/V if you were to say that the OM+=OM......

The Elite has a rom now. LeslieAnn has released Harmonia for the Elite. It's based on stock, deodexed, has bloat removed and some tweaks. If you guys still want to try an Elite rom. If it works it'd be a good base rom to build on

DO NOT FOLLOW THIS POST
Yea, there's an unbrick guide...oh I know, take your NAM backup, save it to your computer, look in the folder you copied to your computer and look for boot.img
Once you find boot.img, open the optimus elite ROM with winrar or 7zip. Replace boot.img in the elite rom with the one from your backup.

Replacing the boot.img is the first step in porting a ROM and is less likely to give you a hard brick.

Anyone brave enough to try this?

After doing that with replacing the boot.img you have to copy it to microsd card, then:
Wipe /data
Wipe /system
Wipe /sd-ext
Wipe /boot
Wipe /cache
Wipe dalvik-cache

DO NOT format SD card.

Then turn off signature verification, install rom.

If you get a status 7 error don't worry. That error is easy to fix.
