Same rooting process for sensation XE?

My desire got stolen last night and I like the look of the sensation XE (plus o2 are doing an offer on it)

I am not willing to get the phone if I can't root it, does anyone know if the process is the same for the sensation and the sensation XE? There doesn't seem to be much information about rooting in the XE forum.
