Help Samsug galaxy s2 update?

I have an unrooted galaxy s2 for tmobile and runnin 4.0.4. When theres an update available how will i know? Everytime i tried to update it says no firmware. When i dial #1234# it says an error occured.

Jfresh330, first off we4lcome to the site ! From what I've briefly perused here in this section, you have the most current version available for an unrooted phone. See this thread:

I am sure there are other options, but that would require rooting your phone.

The update went smooth even after downloading the update over a shaky 4G link. Very nice. I like.
