Hi everyone. Im having Samsung Galaxy A5 2016 version mobile phone. It's having Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 installed (Official). Now, my issues are all USB problems :

1. No Fast Charging ( Was there before )
2. No OTG support ( Was there )
3. I can't connect the phone to my PC. Nothing happens when i connect my phone to PC. The phone just
charges when i connect it to PC. Nothing comes in the notification window of my phone when i connect.

The question is :
1. Is it can be a hardware problem with the USB port of my device ? But anyway, the phone
charges (although no Fast charging).

2. Or a software issue ?

Please help geeks ! Waiting for your support.....

Sounds much more like a hardware problem than software related. Professional repair required I think.
I cant even use ODIN. Please help me. If it was a hardware issue, then it won't charge right ? Port is not loose or something... Please help me guys.

Have you tried resetting the phone? And if it's back defaults but the USB still isn't working, then almost certainly it is hardware fault, and repair is required. Nothing else we can do. Data is on separate connections to charging, so data might not work but it could still charge.

What can be the reasons for a hardware fault ? As i didn't drop it anywhere, or no malpractices. If it is hardware issue, will it cost me some bucks ( It don't have warranty, as i'm in different country )?

It might be a bad connection between the USB jack and the circuit board it's fixed to, or could be some other component failure. If you don't think it's under warranty, then probably need to find a competent phone repair tech in where ever you are. Try yellow pages?

Thanks for you support. mike

Did the problems you listed in the first post begin after you received the OTA update to 6.0.1?
Are you using the original OEM USB cable that came with the device?

Mobile Odin is not used much anymore and most have switched to FlashFire. It's by the same Developer and has a lot more capabilities.

Not after OTA 6.0.1 , but Samsung Releases a security patch every month to my phone(s). But after the September update, all this issues started. Is there any connection with these ? After that i recieved October update too... But the problem is not solved. November update is not yet received.

After receiving any OTA system update, it is a good idea to boot into recovery and wipe the cache partition.
Default USB connection is charge only and you usually have to pull down on the drop down menu in order to change the setting to MTP.
Could also be a issue with your wall charger as far as quick charging not working.

I tried wiping .. I can't find any menu in scroll down when connected to PC.

When I connect my S5 to PC and pull down on the drop down menu, I see this

Another thing to check is the hidden menu USB settings.
Open your phone keypad and enter *#0808# to get to the USB menu.
Check that MTP + ADB is selected.
