Help Samsung Admire Problem.....Please Help!

I have had this phone for a month now with no problems. Its been in a case and has had a screen protector since day one. Never dropped or abused. One day it just would not make any calls or receive any calls. I paid the bill two days before so I know that should not have anything to do with it. When I try to call someone it just says dialing then finally gives up. When someone tries to call me it rings once then no sound for a while until the voicemail comes on. Any body else have this problem? Does anyone know what can cause this or if it can be fixed? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Backup your contacts to your SD card and try to do a Factory Reset... (IMO Last Resort If Other Options Are Given). You can also try dialing *228 to see if you are even able to connect to them which sounds like its not a tower problem but a device problem. Honestly don't see much being fixed unless FDR. Also, check Call Settings to make sire that North American dialing is on and to check those there... Auto Retry is another one you may want to make sure is on.

Nope. Didn't work. I guess it is a device problem. I took it to metropcs and they told me they don't know what's wrong with it. But I had the funformobile app and they said that voids my warranty since it carries viruses. Luckily since I had the phone for exactly one month and a day they ordered me a new phone for free. I know the app had nothing to do with it tho. I had it on my phone since day one so did my cousin and he had his lg optimus for a long time now. Thanks for the help tho!

P.S. I found it funny that I told metro that I cannot call or receive calls, but they still told me that they would give me a call when the new phone comes in. Lol!

what happens when you put it on speakerphone ?? did you try Battery pull .

When I put it on speaker nothing happens. I tried taking the battery out and letting the battery die completely but still nothing. It's like I am not getting any service at all. I tried to explain this to them but they didnt really seem to listen.

So, assuming you haven't loaded up any apps that might be causing a conflict, sounds like a defective phone. I guess you're having it replaced.

i had the same problem with the speaker being disabled and the icon was yellow with an X next to it... but pulling the battery worked thank god. its the 3rd time this has happened to me..

I hope I don't jinx myself but this one had worked great since I bought it. It has re booted in my pocket a few times, but I think it must have had a reason to.
