Help Samsung Captivate Battery Problems

The battery on my Samsung Captivate is horrible. I will only get a few hours of normal use (which is texting and maybe a few calls).

I am running Firmware version 2.2

Battery Usage:

Display (95%)
Wi-Fi (3%)
Cell Standby (2%)

ALSO, I have the brightness set all the way down to zero, and have power-saving mode on.

Could it be a hardware problem?

One thing that seems to work, is to let your battery drain all the way down- to nothing if you have the patience- and then charge it completely. This helped when my battery was not giving me a full days charge. Looking at your usage, your display is using a lot of battery. Mine normally runs around 51%. Are you using any widgets? Any live wallpaper? They can be battery hogs.
