Samsung Captivate (Galaxy S) sim card reader not working

So my friend lent me a samsung galaxy s (AT&T), because I had recently gotten my Iphone stolen. Turns out the speaker dies out when I'm playing music or literally putting a phone call on speaker. I couldn't live with that, so my first instinct was to open it up and fix it. Well I forgot to remove my sim card when taking it apart, so the sim card reader came off. Tried putting it back on and everything. But when i turn on my phone and everything, it says no network. It reads the Sim card, but no connectivity. It's not the sim card itself because it works on my dads phone. Is there any way I can reconnect the sim card reader to the mother board? I'm not sure if it's for sure broken or not. And I really don't know what to do at this point because I've only taken apart Iphones, not androids.

Hi Pammy and welcome to AF. :ciao:

I don't know if it could be the problem, but check your APN settings. Maybe they got wiped out when you were working on the phone. Look at this page under the AT&T section.
