Lurker
I can't get my phone to do anything in Download Mode I'm trying to root it and I can't get the driver to work correctly. It works while on and in debug mode and ODIN see's it when on but in Download Mode it don't see it and it says this device cannot start (code 10.).

Can anyone help I've reinstalled drivers rebooted started the phone over and changed ports I've flashed phones before and this one is giving me so many issues! Thanks in Advanced.

Windows will not always dedect all devices. When a hard disk sometimes is not detected it could be failed hardware. Go to My computer, right click to get the menu ,go to properties, then device manager.

download "USB deview"
free software. un zip the program and open. in options at top choose "show disconnected devices."

now go thru list of all USB devices you've installed (that's what program now shows once you choose show disconnected)
and uninstall/delete anything Samsung or pertaining to your phone.
reboot and reinstall phone drivers
and reboot one more time.
turn on USB debugging on phone and plug in while on. then unplug and put in download mode and plug back in.

bet you it work now

if that don't do it it's your cable.
I always use Amazon kindle cord. high quality cable that charges and safe for Odin/heimdall. i use with prevail as well as Samsung intercept
and it's better than data cables phones came with
