Help Samsung Epic USB

My Epic keeps saying that the USB is connected, but it is not......what do I do? It is interrupting everything that I try to do! HELP!!!

Did you try a reboot? Battery pull?

It may be a bad usb port. If you are within the one year warranty, take it back to your carrier.

Have you installed the drivers for your phone onto your computer?

I found these with a quick search (note its different depending on whether you have a 32 bit or 64 bit operating system on your computer).

64-bit drivers: http://firon.net/xda/usb_drivers_GalaxyS_x64.zip

If you already have the drivers installed, try using a different micro usb data cable, the one that comes with the phone isn't the best (any micro usb to usb should work fine). If that doesn't work you can try it through a different usb port on your computer.
