Help Samsung epic

Lurker
I recently purchased a used Samsung Epic on Ebay (no returns) I was told it was a "gently used" phone. The phone works and looks good, except the slide out keyboard gets stuck when u push it up with your fingers. By browsing online, I believe that the problem could be the flex cable. I had the Samsung Moment, but got tired of Sprint not helping me every time I needed help with that phone. I dont know if I want to fight back and forth with the seller and Ebay, or should I take it to a repair shop. Or if I leave it like that how long will it last? Please give me advise on what I should do.:(

Moving to the Epic4G section.

I don't know about dealing with returning it, but if it's the flex cable getting hung up? I would think that would eventually lead to a keyboard failure. Are you sure it's not the slider mechanism? Maybe something stuck in there? Good luck!

Thanks for your post!
I hope it is the slider mechanism. I really don't know the difference, that only happens when I push op with my thumbs to open, but when i grab the screen and slide it, everything seems to work just fine. I also notice that when you get to the bottom of a page, the edges of the screen turn blue, like letting you know there's no where to go. Will that be something normal with the Epic.

It doesn't sound normal, but I'll check the wife's Epic when it comes home. FWIW, she rarely ever uses the hard keyboard these days and won't be getting a slider when she upgrades.
